This project involves a two phase approach to the creation of a Category II Alarm Receiving Centre:
replacement of the existing Public Space CCTV Surveillance operation and the creation of a new integrated alarm receiving centre and monitoring facility; and
further development of the control room with the convergence of a number of other security, safety and building management systems to be monitored seamlessly within the new control room facility, involving the networking of all the Council’s building into one system.
Upon completion the new facility will provide a number of Council wide services, including:
alarm (intruder & fire) monitoring
lone worker monitoring
BS 8418 Detector Activated Remotely Monitored CCTV Systems
community (social) alarm monitoring
keyholding
building management system monitoring
public space CCTV surveillance system monitoring
